Current preparation: 27 September 2026. Start with the current submission guide and author/evidence record.
The author has now confirmed sole authorship and actual use in the Acta Materialia study, DOI 10.1016/j.actamat.2026.122455. The article metadata was checked through Crossref. The historical software revision and operation-to-output mapping remain for the author's processing records; this is not a claim of an explicit software citation or independent reproduction.
PR #14 and PR #15 are merged on main. Their CI and manuscript snapshots are historical, not acceptance evidence for later commits. The old 26 September assessment is retained as a dated record and is superseded by this guide for current status.
The existing scripts/joss_readiness.py retains the project's stricter staged controls
(four active months and specific public/hashed comparisons and engagement records).
Those are local project policies, not extra JOSS requirements. Run it diagnostically,
and inspect each named result. The smaller scripts/check_joss_artifacts.py checks
current manuscript/identity consistency and lists pending submission work; it does
not declare eligibility. Actual research use may be demonstrated privately to editors.
The February 2027 planning date is conditional on verified public history and continued substantive development. Creation timestamps and old commit dates alone are insufficient. Recheck current policy, actual public history, human review and exact-commit validation before submission. Archive the final accepted version after review.
