The important thing here is that this command: mkcert 0.0.0.0 localhost 127.0.0.1 ::1does not modify It only generates a certificate containing those names/IP addresses. Also: is not normally a certificate-trust error. A TLS trust problem happens after a TCP connection has been established and usually gives you a certificate/privacy warning.
I would check these separately. First: grep 'my.second.example.com' /etc/hostsYou still need something like: if you rely on Then verify that your development server is actually listening: lsof -nP -iTCP -sTCP:LISTENor specifically for the old port: lsof -nP -iTCP:8030 -sTCP:LISTENand test it directly: curl -v http://127.0.0.1:8030/
Also note that your old command: npx http-server -p 8030 -S -C cert.pem ./distexplicitly started an HTTPS server using the certificate. If So I would debug this in this order: rather than reinstalling mkcert first. |
