banner page tray switching

Hi,

I recently changed our infrastructure of roughly 500 RICOH printers to IPP everywhere and while procrastinating about this for a long time I am surprised how few problems it made in the end. Just some hassle with SAP weird document setups that we corrected in the backend witg LPRng in the past.

One thing that really bothers me though is, most of the printers have a dedicated tray (tray 1) with blue paper for a cover sheet and with CUPS I am unable to make the cover page using it. I try to add PJL sequences to the pdf file provided but to no avail. Is there any place where I could conveniantly and centrally tweek my printing setup to make the banner pages use the tray 1 ?

Next thing in an entreprise setup would be to omitt the banner inf the same user is printing within a timespan of say 5 minutes or so, My previous setup was a bannerpage filter calling a bash script and that gave me a lot of freedom to mingle the banner production the way I needed it to be (exchange functional account names with those found in the controlfile in another place e.g.)
