Summary: the list of multi-disc markers used by the autotagger lacks common patterns such as “digital media”, “12" Vinyl”, “cassette”, etc. (there are examples on the MusicBrainz Release doc)

Example:

When importing the following file structure using the auto-tagger:

The Rolling Stones/1973 - Goats Head Soup/
├── Digital Media 01
│   ├── 01 - Dancing With Mr D (2020).flac
│   └── ...
├── Digital Media 02
│   ├── 01 - Scarlet.flac
│   └── ...
└── Digital Media 03
    ├── 01 - Brown Sugar (live + Forest National Arena, Brussels + 17+10+73).flac
    └── ...

The the sub-directories (Digital Media \d) are not tagged together as a multi-disc album.

This behavior is consistent with the documentation:

First, directories that look like separate parts of a multi-disc album are tagged together as a single release. If two adjacent albums have a common prefix, followed by “disc,” “disk,” or “CD” and then a number, they are tagged together.

However, one expects these folders to be tagged together as a multi-disc album.

This is relevant because the missing media types may appear in existing file structures that were created using MusicBrainz metadata.

Problem

Running this command in verbose (-vv) mode:
