Detection is worse now? #973
|
In my experience, the detection of birds in East Africa has become worse since at least March (that's when I got back to Tanzania and noticed). Birds that used to be detected just fine aren't recognized any more, or are misidentified as something else (most often house sparrows). Is there a reason for this, and will it become better again? |

Please provide missidentified samples for us to check. |

Sorry for the delayed reply. First we had a power outage (Welcome to Africa ;-) ), and when I tried to reply via email with sample files attached, the size was too big... |

I'll give it a look, also: BirdNET v3 is on its way to the analyzer and my guess is that it will likely improve performance anyway. |

Just now I got another false positive. Identified as Wire-tailed Swallow, but in truth Red-billed Firefinch. |
