Claude Code attachment button opens File Dialog of the local machine, not the remote one

• Web Browser: Chrome
• Local OS: MacOS
• Remote OS: Ubuntu 24.04
• Remote Architecture: x64
• code-server --version: 1.117.0 ddeb0a3 x64

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Claude Code extension from Open VSIX: https://open-vsx.org/extension/Anthropic/claude-code
2. Open its window from the side bar and start a new session
3. Click the + button, choose "Upload from computer"

Expected

I should be able to select files from the remote machine

Actual

It shows files on the local machine

Are you accessing code-server over a secure context?

• I am using a secure context.

Notes

So, I'm not even sure which side is this relevant to. But this is very bizarre, and the equivalent button in Copilot works the correct way by allowing to choose remote files.

Mainly writing here to leave a record and start the discussion if others have had this issue as well.
