Git Administration

Overview

A one day course in the administration of hosted Git-as-a-service infrastructure, such as Github, Bitbucket or Atlassian Stash.

Objectives

Day 1

* Introduction to Git-as-a-Service
* Integration with Backup systems
* Integrating with testing systems
* Intro to automation with hooks
* Deploying from Git
* Configuring Firewalls to allow Git
* Fine-grained access control
* Cryptographic data integrity with Git
* Storing sensitive information in Git
* Removing sensitive information from Git repositories

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of the Unix/Linux command-line, such as traversing directories and editing configuration files.
