I have published two video courses on Dometrain that may be useful if you work with Duende IdentityServer.
One explains the OpenID Connect protocol itself, the other what happens inside ASP.NET Core when your application signs users in and authorizes them.
Getting Started: OpenID Connect
How OAuth 2 and OpenID Connect work at the protocol level, not tied to any library or language. It covers the OpenID Provider, ID tokens and access tokens, claims and scopes, how tokens are signed and validated, key rotation, the Authorization Code Flow, refresh tokens, PKCE, state and nonce, single sign-on, sign-out and the Client Credentials Flow. About 10.5 hours.

Getting Started: Authentication and Authorization in .NET
What happens inside ASP.NET Core: the ClaimsPrincipal, the authentication middleware and its operations (Challenge, SignIn, Authenticate, SignOut, Forbid), schemes and tickets, Data Protection, the cookie handler, and authorization from simple and role-based up to policies, requirements and resource-based authorization. About 12 hours.

Thanks to the Duende team for letting me share these here.
