GitHub's search index issue causing giscus to not find existing discussions

Hi all,

You may have noticed giscus creating a new discussion instead of loading an existing one for the same page recently. This is due to GitHub's broken search index causing the discussions to not be searchable, even on GitHub.com directly.

I've reported this over to GitHub, and other people have made similar reports too:

Until GitHub fixes it, a temporary workaround is to do something to the affected discussions, e.g. adding/removing labels, adding a comment, closing and reopening, etc. which would trigger a re-index of the discussion.

I'm thinking of automating the workaround using the app's privileges to either:

• add a random label (from the repo's labels) and immediately remove it
  • This shouldn't cause any noise (i.e. no notifications, no "trail" in the discussion timeline).
• close and reopen the discussion
  • This will show up in the discussion timeline on the right hand side like the following:
    

However, I'm not sure if that would be acceptable, as I don't want the app to be too intrusive. If you have any thoughts please let me know.
