Steps to Reproduce

1. Select the LiquidGlass theme and apply the custom system tray control style above.
2. Pin or open enough app icons to fill the center taskbar area.
3. The background container stops expanding on the right, leaving app icons floating past the pill border.

This seems like an issue with the specific theme. I moved the issue since it's not a mod bug.

Hey, tried your fix and it doesn't actually resolve this for me, and introduces new problems on top:

The original cut-off is fixed, but MaxWidth=containerGridWidth-2*(trayWidth+50) is way too aggressive for anyone with a moderately busy system tray. With mine (~13-14 active tray icons), it left almost zero room for pinned/running apps, nearly everything got pushed behind the overflow "..." button (screenshot attached).
Combining it with a custom rule to force the tray's hidden speaker icon visible (Visibility=Visible) puts the taskbar into a permanently broken split-row state, pinned apps render in a separate floating row above the actual taskbar bar, and it persists even through an Explorer restart. Only removing that rule fixes it.
Right-aligning the tray to fix a separate positioning gap also caused it to clip clean off the edge of the screen in one test.
What's actually held up reliably after repeated testing: halving your buffer to containerGridWidth-(trayWidth+50) (drop the 2*) plus setting SystemTray.SystemTrayFrame's HorizontalAlignment from Left to Right (also fixes it sitting with a dead gap before the real screen edge). Screenshots below show the broken states vs. the working one. not working:
