Merging this will close #90 which asks for better clarity in the colours being used for status indication (there is a previous modification to make the "initialising" code turn the LED white (or all on if it's separate LEDs), and to ensure that overlapping data indications (which typically flash one of the LEDs -- usually the blue one) don't keep the LED on permanently.
