Add plan progress to UI

I think we need to have some sort of progress indicator when we are computing a plan for a directory (since it remains blank for a long time otherwise).

I agree--- there were some times when I Was processing large directories I couldn't tell if it had died/choked on a weird file, or was just "thinking"...
