![XYZ Chess Gameplay]
Welcome to XYZ Chess, a captivating strategic experience that elevates the classic game to a new level. Played across three stacked 8x8 boards, this game challenges you to think beyond the flat plane and master vertical tactics. With a sleek, futuristic interface, this project is a modern take on a timeless game.
XYZ Chess expands the traditional game by adding a third axis of movement. Pieces can move not only across a single board but also between the three levels, opening up a universe of new strategic possibilities. Capturing a piece might involve an attack from a different level, and king safety requires vigilance in all three dimensions.
This application is built as a sophisticated single-page application using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, featuring a custom-built 3D chess engine.
- Three-Level Gameplay: Experience chess on three stacked 8x8 boards.
- Full 3D Chess Engine: Implements all standard chess rules, including castling, en passant (on a single level), and pawn promotion, adapted for a 3D environment.
- Vertical Movement: All pieces have extended move sets allowing for movement between the levels, creating deep and complex strategies.
