1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Log in with Gmail account.
3. Open self DM or DM with any user.
4. Click + > Create expense > Manual.
5. Enter amount > Next.
6. On confirm page, click Merchant.
7. Click Save without entering merchant.
8. Verify the merchant field is empty on the confirmation page.
9. Again open the merchant page.
10. Enter a value and erase.
11. Verify empty merchant value could be saved, and the confirmation page has an empty merchant value.
12. Click Create expense.
13. Verify the expense is created successfully.
14. Run Onyx.merge('betas', ['newManualExpenseFlow']); in console.
15. Create a click FAB -> create expense.
16. Enter a valid amount.
17. Try entering "(none)" or "Expense" as the merchant and click "create expense".
18. Verify Invalid merchant error pops up.
19. Enter a valid merchant value and verify expense could be created successfully.

  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers
• I followed the guidelines as stated in the Review Guidelines
