Updates the contributor documentation to better reflect the project’s current toolchain and common workflows (JDK/Gradle requirements, formatting, test execution, ABI checks, and docs preview).
Changes:
- Adds a prerequisites section (JDK/Gradle wrapper) and expands guidance on running targeted tests.
- Updates formatting guidance to use
spotlessApply, and clarifies ABI dump location/usage. - Adds local MkDocs documentation preview/build instructions.
