os.setpgrp() permission denied when running container in non-interactive mode #14

Description

@xiaofeij

Pull latest Image

docker pull vault.habana.ai/gaudi-docker/1.20.1/ubuntu22.04/habanalabs/pytorch-installer-2.6.0:latest

Build Container with priviledged permission

docker run -itd --privileged --name test --runtime=habana -e HABANA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=all -e OMPI_MCA_btl_vader_single_copy_mechanism=none --cap-add=SYS_ADMIN --cap-add=sys_nice --net=host --ipc=host -e http_proxy=${http_proxy} -e https_proxy=$https_proxy -e no_proxy=$no_proxy vault.habana.ai/gaudi-docker/1.20.1/ubuntu22.04/habanalabs/pytorch-installer-2.6.0:latest bash

Execute os.setpgrp() in non-interactive mode

docker exec test bash -c "python -c 'import os;os.setpgrp()'"
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "", line 1, in
PermissionError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted

Highlight: os.setpgrp() works fine in interactive mode: docker exec -it test bash -> python -c 'import os;os.setpgrp()'

Could you please share how to fix this issue? We need non-interactive mode for automation urgently.
Appreciate any help!
