The pangolin retires. The mark is now the Open Seal: a guilloché seal — three bands of machine-turned lacework (the engine-turning that makes money look like money, the oldest anti-forgery visual system there is), open at the heart: the middle is where the signature goes. - lib/seal-geometry.ts: THE geometry source — sine-modulated ring families on a 128 grid, two weights on the currency "ladder" (defined ≥48px, bold below; Logo.tsx switches automatically). - components/Logo.tsx: PantessaMark rewritten (currentColor line art, no masks/ids — satori-safe by construction); YeetfulMark alias kept. Call-site sizes retuned for a square mark (nav 34→26, shell/spine 30→22, footer 28→22, chat 20→16 — the pangolin numbers were inflated for a 1.6:1 ink box). - components/protocol-marks.tsx: first-party MCP tile mark = bold seal, single-ink; pangolin path data removed. - lib/og-marks.ts: sealMarkSvg replaces pangolinMarkSvg (deprecated alias kept) — same self-contained ink-chip contract, the accent now re-inks the whole turning (single-ink art); all seven OG card routes renamed to the new helper. - scripts/test-api.ts: brand pins updated (seal satori-safe, re-ink equivalence via color-swap identity, seven-card drift guard); the /i unfurl copy check untouched. - app/icon.svg/.png + apple-icon.png: bold seal on the ink chip. - public/brand/seal/: full kit — generate.js (one source, mirrors lib/seal-geometry.ts), 16 SVGs (defined/bold × green-dark/green-paper/ black/white, microprint ceremonial cuts, 4 crop-safe social avatars, app icon + favicon chips), 22 PNGs (avatars 400/800/1024, marks 512/1024, favicons 16–64, app icon 180/512/1024), README with the ladder rules and don'ts. Gates: tsc clean, build green, test:api 1623/1 (the standing router-select known-red) vs next start :3739; header verified in both themes on the prod build. Nate's read on the shipped header: at 26px the bold cut hazed into a fuzzy circle. Root cause is arithmetic — eleven hairlines can't share 26 pixels. Fix: a third rung on the currency ladder. - lib/seal-geometry.ts: new 'icon' weight — ONE heavy outer ring (r56 w7) + a single two-pass woven band (R34 A11 k7 w8), three strokes total, open heart kept. sealWeightFor() codifies the ladder: icon < 40px, bold 40–95, defined ≥ 96; PantessaMark walks it automatically (picked from a 5-candidate size test at 96/48/32/26/16 against the old bold cut). - protocol-marks tile mark + og-marks sealMarkSvg → icon cut (unfurls show the whole card ~500px wide, so the mark's effective size is tiny). - Kit: pantessa-seal-icon[-dark|-black|-white].svg added; avatars, app-icon and favicon chips re-cut at icon weight; PNGs regenerated; app/icon.* + apple-icon.png re-copied; README ladder updated. Gates: tsc clean, build green, test:api 1623/1 (standing router-select known-red); header re-verified on the prod build — crisp woven ring, no fuzz. What
The pangolin retires. Pantessa's mark is now the Open Seal — a guilloché seal: three bands of machine-turned lacework, framed by hairline circles, open at the heart. Guilloché is the engine-turning that makes money look like money — the oldest anti-forgery visual system there is; no hand can draw it, only a machine holding steady, which is the product. The middle stays empty on purpose: it's where the signature goes.
Direction picked by Nate in-session (2026-08-27) off the logo exploration artifact; this PR is the install.
How it's built
lib/seal-geometry.ts— the ONE geometry source: sine-modulated ring familiesr(θ) = R + A·sin(kθ + φ)on a 128 grid. Two weights on the currency "ladder": defined (6 passes/band, ≥ 48 px) and bold (4 heavier passes, everything smaller).PantessaMarkswitches automatically at 48.components/Logo.tsx— rewritten. PurecurrentColorstroke art, no masks/ids (satori-safe by construction).YeetfulMarkalias +PANGOLIN_ACCENTexport kept so nothing breaks. Call-site sizes retuned for a square mark (nav 34→26, shell/spine 30→22, footer 28→22, chat 20→16 — the old numbers compensated for the pangolin's 1.6:1 ink box).components/protocol-marks.tsx— the first-partyyeetful-tool-*tile mark is the bold seal, single-ink; pangolin path data deleted.lib/og-marks.ts—sealMarkSvg()replacespangolinMarkSvg()(deprecated alias kept). Same self-contained ink-chip contract; single-ink art means a creator accent now re-inks the whole turning. All seven OG card routes moved to the new helper.scripts/test-api.ts— brand pins updated: satori-safety, re-ink equivalence (color-swap identity), seven-card drift guard. The /i unfurl copy check is untouched.app/icon.svg/icon.png/apple-icon.png— bold seal on the ink chip (same px sizes as before).public/brand/seal/— the usable logo directory:generate.js(standalone, mirrors the lib), 16 SVGs (defined/bold × green-dark#3ECF8E/ green-paper#0E8F62/ black / white, ceremonial microprint cuts, 4 crop-safe square social avatars, app-icon + favicon chips) and 22 PNGs (avatars 400/800/1024 for social, marks 512/1024, favicons 16–64, app icon 180/512/1024), plus a README with the ladder rules and don'ts.Test plan
npx tsc --noEmitclean;npm run buildgreen.BASE=http://localhost:3739 npm run test:apivsnext start: 1623 passed / 1 failed — the standing router-select known-red. (Worktree note: the run needsROSTER_ENABLED+NEXT_PUBLIC_ROSTER_ENABLED+GUARDIAN_KEY_SECRET+BROKER_DESK_ENABLEDin.env.local, and NEXT_PUBLIC_* bakes at build time.)Notes for review
<textPath>, so it must never enter an OG card; README says so./lpages are the one sanctioned tenant if we ever want a creator mark seated in it.public/brand/seal/png/pantessa-avatar-*.png.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
