PSReadLine crash message shown: 'Oops, something went wrong. Please report this bug' #5124

Description

Summary

PSReadLine displayed a crash prompt in the terminal:

Oops, something went wrong. Please report this bug with the details below.
Report on GitHub: https://github.com/lzybkr/PSReadLine/issues/new

Environment

  • PowerShell: 5.1.19041.6456
  • OS: Windows
  • Host terminal: Warp

What I was doing

Running PowerShell cleanup/uninstall commands and then continuing normal command entry in the same session.

Expected behavior

PSReadLine should continue normal command-line editing without crashing.

Actual behavior

PSReadLine showed the crash message above and asked to report an issue.

Additional notes

I do not currently have the full PSReadLine stack trace text from the crash prompt; if needed I can add follow-up details/log output in a comment.

    @github-actions

Aaron Carlo Cabrera (@aaroncarlocabrera), you were using a pretty old version of PSReadLine (2.0.0-beta2 or prior), and it's likely that the issue was fixed in a newer version.
Please upgrade to the 2.3.5 version of PSReadLine from PowerShell Gallery.
See the upgrading section for instructions. Please let us know if you run into the same issue with the latest version.
