Error on Jetson Nano

Hi,

I want to try the coresight tracer on my Jetson Nano but I get the following error:

The Nano runs with the latest L4T 32.7.6.

I noticed the branch roppinhoppin/jetson-nano in the CSAL submodule, but building with that does not compile.

P.S. The build does not work with capstone v6. Maybe clarify in the readme that v4 is needed.

Since I don't have the target hardware anymore, I cannot help your debugging, but let me some guesses.

fopen: No such file or directory

is from cs-trace (https://github.com/RICSecLab/coresight-trace/blob/fe8b26ea4b07fafa6f24e77c84dad0f3925d47d8/src/common.c#L461C14-L461C24), which indicates the trace output binary cannot be created. Check your file access permission.

** csaccess(0073640000): ERROR: bit 010.00000002 did not set

The 0073640000 corresponds to the ETM MMIO (https://github.com/RICSecLab/CSAL/blob/fc8c4936d4c36c774bd1f974ba4560dd5e7a744e/demos/cs_demo_known_boards.c#L612) of CPU 2. Refer to the technical reference manual and determine the expected value in the MMIO.

0073640000 is the correct address, so the reason must be something else. I also noticed that the error is sometimes caused by other coresight devices (ETF, ETR, other ETMs)
