Create a Web Red App to open an existing application in Sabre Red 360 (Web & Desktop)
Description
I want to create a Web Red App that allows users to open my existing application directly from Sabre Red 360, both in Desktop and Web environments. The goal is to provide seamless access without requiring users to leave Red 360.
What I have tried
- Creating a basic Web Red App using the Sabre Red 360 SDK.
- Exploring embedding URLs with
<iframe> and window.open().
- Reviewing SDK documentation for URL or app launch support.
Expected Behavior
- The Red App should provide a menu item, toolbar button, or panel that launches my existing app.
- The solution should work both in Red 360 Desktop and Web versions.
- Ideally, it would also support direct URL-based launch if possible.
Environment
- Sabre Red 360 version: 3.25.7
- Red App type: Web Red App
- SDK version: 25.9
Questions
- What is the recommended way to open an existing web application from a Web Red App?
- Can this be done for both Desktop and Web versions of Red 360?
- Is URL-based launch (deep linking) supported for Web Red Apps?
- Are there any example implementations or sample projects available?
