The mapping file provides information about how the data measurements map to the KAM. It has three columns:

  1. Id - the identifiers from the input IdAMP data file

  2. KAM_NODE - the label of the KAM node (if any) that the measurement maps to, if it is part of the population. This will always be an RNAAbundance node.

  3. STATUS - one of the following:

  • State Change - meets the cutoff criteria (or Analyst selection)
  • Failed cutoffs - does not meet criteria to be a state change
  • Not present in population: node label - Id maps to KAM, but is not a downstream for at least one mechanism
  • Not mapped to KAM - Id does not map to KAM
  • Collapsed to: node label -Id maps to KAM, but a different Id/measurement mapping to the same KAM node was selected to represent that node

NOTE - There is an issue causing multiple row to appear for the same Id when the IdAMP file contains multiple comparisons (see https://github.com/Selventa/whistle/issues/3). In this case only one of the rows has STATUS information and the others can be ignored .
