Install without any toolchain: download the zip below, unzip it, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder. Then open claude.ai or chatgpt.com (signed in) and click the toolbar icon.

Notes: Chrome shows a developer-mode notice for out-of-store installs, and there are no auto-updates — grab the next release manually. The Chrome Web Store listing (one-click install, auto-updates) is the successor to this channel; see docs/store/ in the repo.
