I noticed "the usual" discrepancies between templatexx and gpio counts and indications of what chips are used.

Since the added generic reset pin is not available with old component numbers, I've converted it to new component numbers (and added the new ARCH parameter too.
Reduced number of "None" entries in the gpio list to match ESP8266
Updating to templatec3 since the name includes ESP32-C3
