Summary

Parks the migration content split out of the cloudinary-video skill (#23) as a draft use-case skill, asset-migration. The team agreed migration works better as its own skill covering images, video, and raw files than as a third of the video skill.

  • skills/use-cases/asset-migration/SKILL.md: intake questions, the rule to upload masters rather than delivered renditions, finding media on an existing site (raw HTML first, not a headless DOM), mining the old site for metadata and an old-to-new mapping, and what is still unverified.
  • references/source-platforms.md: how to get originals off Brightcove, Vimeo, YouTube, and Wistia.
  • Named and placed per the category conventions: use-case skills get unbranded, problem-shaped names.

Status

Draft, not ready to publish. It is marked metadata.internal: true, so it stays out of the default install. Remaining work is tracked in DOC-11638:

  • general guidance plus image- and raw-file-specific sections, with input from Solutions
  • verify the source-platform routes, which are documentation research today
  • test with an agent on a real migration task, then drop internal

Useful links

Testing

  • scripts/check-discovery.sh finds the skill (with INSTALL_INTERNAL_SKILLS=1), and scripts/check-links.sh passes.

Park the platform-migration content removed from the cloudinary-video skill
(PR #23) as an internal use-case skill: intake questions, getting originals
instead of delivered renditions, mining an existing site, and the
source-platform reference for Brightcove, Vimeo, YouTube, and Wistia.

It is video-only today and marked metadata.internal, so it stays out of the
default install until the image and raw-file sections exist (DOC-11638).
