Loading Explore Scientific iexos-100 PMC-8

Hi!
I can find the iexos-100 in the Astroarch mount section , add it and start ekos but for some reason it just doesn't connect. I've tried a couple different USB cables to no avail. Any suggestions?

hey @MattBlack85 ! thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I unplugged it, noted what was there and then plugged the mount back in. It seems to show up as "Device 013 Future Device Technology Co International, FT232 Serial (UART) IC"

Thanks! In the Indi tab for the mount can you see which path (like /dev/xxx or /etc/yyy) ekos is trying to use to connect to it?

Let me take a look. Does this mean that it's connected? (see pic) It just doesn't respond to the mount control buttons in Ekos.

Not necessarily, but I suspect ekos may try to use a port which is not the mount. You should see the port path briefly on the Indi tab for the mount when you try to connect. Alternatively you may find the path in the xml indi config of the device. Shall live under ~/.Indi if I recall correctly

Ok! I’ll take a look in a few- need to pick up some more batteries for mount :-(

Actually sorry, ignore me. That means that is connected! It cannot connect to a camera. It says V4L2 which is a USB Linux camera usually. What CCD are you using?

I just put a random svbony camera in there to get the Ekos profile setup. But the Iexos is right below the camera under devices that could not connect?

Yes, you right on that. Can you check under /dev/ is there is a ttyS* device? If you start Indi, even if those devices do not connect, you should see the mount tab, in that tab you should be able to out an alternative path for the mount like /dev/ttyS1 or something like that. If you get the right path where the mount is mounted as a Linux device and use that you should be able to connect to it

Cool- thanks for the help. I’ll let you know how it works out. Side question- I see there is an option for SkySafari- does that mean I could link up SkySafari to mount through Astroarch?

i got it! - followed your instructions- it was showing up as TTYUSB0 :-)

What's the word on the Sky Safari connection?

unsure about skysafari @pitabu that's something I never really used and don't know how that may work. Id there is an INDI driver tho, it should just work
