I don't think we can do this as-is: it works for Hurd because the only Hurd profiles are usr-merged. That's not the case for other targets (emerging into them later will break, probably quite early in the profile.bashrc sanity check). Even the embedded profile may break, I think (possibly later when merging some packages). Less important but the merge is only needed where the CBUILD machine is also usr-merged. See @chewi's #32. I think that's the better way to go. |
