Release list
QuickWord 1.0.3
Text on word and Wikipedia pages is now selectable: pick QuickWord in the
selection menu to look it up without leaving the app. The store description
now matches what ships: a few sample words bundled, the full dictionary
downloaded when you tap Download.
QuickWord 1.0.2
Removes the Google-encrypted dependency-metadata blob from the APK, which
F-Droid does not allow. No user-visible changes.
QuickWord 1.0.1
Reproducible builds: F-Droid now publishes the same APK as the GitHub
release, signed with the QuickWord key, so installs can move between the two
without a reinstall.
QuickWord 1.0.0
Initial release: selection-menu lookup notifications with Thesaurus/Open/Save actions, offline Wiktionary dictionary, Wikipedia fallback with an optional offline pack of the 50,000 most-read articles, recents and favourites, TTS.
The full dictionary (~120 MB) downloads on first run; a small starter dictionary is bundled so the app works immediately. The optional offline Wikipedia pack (38 MB) lives under About → Storage & data.
Note: this APK is signed with the developer key. The Play and F-Droid builds are signed differently — switching install sources requires an uninstall.
