server is useless with default config

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I was under the impression that software can be used as a local test server, not just a web page with a list of other test servers.

Server

1.1.5 with no custom settings

Client

firefox-116.0-2.fc38.x86_64

Steps to reproduce

• Download speedtest-go_1.1.5_linux_amd64.tar.gz
• Unarchive file, e.g. tar xzf speedtest-go_1.1.5_linux_amd64.tar.gz
• Run ./speedtest-backend
• Go to http://127.0.0.1:8989/

Expected behaviour

A web based test using this server

If you open the client browser and select any of the other "files" ... like http://:8989/example-singleServer-chart.html then it works. I noticed there is a commit that replaced the index.html for a "good one" but its not in release 1.1.5 but newere. Could we get a newere build?

I've just cloned the repository (commit 7001fa4), compiled the project with go build -ldflags "-w -s" -trimpath -o speedtest main.go then I run ./speedtest.

Next I've started a browser (Firefox) and voilà, it seems I was able to run a local test at address http://127.0.0.1:8989/

Well according to the documentation the link to local test server is:
http://localhost:8989/example-singleServer-full.html
In my opinion, the landing page at localhost:8989 should have at least provided link to available local pages.

This is such hot garbage. There's no defeating the "404 page not found":

• with a configured assets directory, having hand-compiled it
• without any assets directory, having downloaded the (pre-compiled) archive (doesn't include an assets directory)
• providing [anything].html that's in the assets directory in the URL
