Which Linear task belongs to this PR?

Fixes EXSC-1204

Why did I implement it this way?

FeeForwarder v2.1.0 adds forwardERC20FeesBps(address,(address,uint16)[]) so an output-token fee can be charged as bps of the actual swap output instead of an absolute amount computed from toAmountMin (Phase 2 of CORE-1551). It runs as a step after the swap in GenericSwapFacetV3, reads the caller's balance once (same full-balance pattern as OutputValidator.validateERC20Output) and pulls each share balance * bps / 10_000 (rounded down) with transferFrom; the remainder goes to the receiver through the facet's final transfer, so the facet is unchanged.

  • Reverts with InvalidTotalBps(totalBps) once the running total exceeds 10_000. The check runs before each transfer, so an over-allocation reports this error rather than TransferFromFailed from the transfer that runs out of balance.
  • A zero-address recipient reverts with InvalidReceiver before its share is computed, so the result does not depend on whether the share rounds to 0.
  • Shares that round to 0 (dust output, 0 bps) are skipped, since some tokens revert on zero-value transfers. They still appear in the event with amount 0.
  • Emits the existing FeesForwarded event with the computed amounts, so backend status parsing stays the same.
  • ERC20 only; native output stays on the absolute-amount path.

Integration constraints (in docs/FeeForwarder.md): all fees for the token go in one call (separate calls compound), the step's requiresDeposit must be false and its fromAmount non-zero, and minAmountOut is checked after all steps so it must be net of fees. The fee base includes any balance the facet held before the swap, which GenericSwapFacetV3 also pays to the receiver. GenericSwapFacetV3 only; not for SwapperV2 bridge routes, where a donated balance makes the route revert. Bridge routes keep forwardERC20Fees. The integration tests cover the successful flow, a pre-existing facet balance, and the revert with a gross minAmountOut.

Rollout is a separate PR after the audit: deploy, the new selector in config/global.json whitelistPeripheryFunctions (adding it now would fail the registered-periphery-allowlisted healthcheck on every chain until rollout), config/whitelist.json entries, and Tron.

Forwards bps shares of the caller's full ERC20 balance so output-token
fees can be taken from the actual swap output. Bumps to v2.1.0.

🩺 Health-check invariants reminder

This PR changes a facet or periphery contract but does not touch
script/deploy/healthCheckInvariants.ts. Please confirm whether the daily
health-check registry needs an invariant added, adjusted, or removed
(new binding/authorization/owner relationship, a removed contract, or changed
struct/owner semantics). See rule 601-healthcheck-invariants for the checklist.

If no invariant change is needed, you can ignore this — it is a reminder, not a gate.

Walkthrough

FeeForwarder adds ERC20 fee forwarding based on basis-point shares of the caller’s token balance. The change adds distribution rules, errors, event details, documentation, an updated deployment attestation, and tests for direct forwarding and GenericSwapFacetV3 integration.

Adds FeeBpsDistribution and forwardERC20FeesBps. The function calculates shares from a snapshot of the caller’s balance, rejects zero-address recipients and cumulative shares above 10,000 bps, skips transfers for zero amounts, and includes all calculated amounts in the event. Documentation describes the function and its rules. The attestation records version 2.1.0 and updated build values.

🔍 QA Review — EXSC-1204

🔁 Re-review — delta c75416d → c61ca09 (1 commit); the prior review had no findings.

Summary

FeeForwarder.forwardERC20FeesBps (v2.1.0) takes an output-token fee as a share of the caller's actual balance. The new commit hardens it: a zero-address recipient now reverts with InvalidReceiver up front. Before, the revert came only from the transfer, so a zero-address recipient with a share that rounds to zero slipped through. It also redefines InvalidTotalBps(totalBps) to carry the running total at the first share past 10_000, adds a regression test, and corrects the docs on the fee base and on requiresDeposit / fromAmount for GenericSwapFacetV3. The delta was read directly (focused-high-risk route, one small function, no candidates).

Docs / metadata docs/FeeForwarder.md, script/deploy/resources/buildAttestations.json

📊 Resolution Status

No prior findings; nothing to carry forward.

Findings

None.

Checked and found sound:

  • Up-front recipient check: InvalidReceiver is imported from GenericErrors.sol and the check runs before the bps accumulation and any transfer, so it applies to every entry whatever its share. The new test uses 10 base units at 1 bps (a zero amount) with a zero recipient and expects InvalidReceiver.
  • Check ordering: the zero-address check comes before the total-bps check, so an input with both defects reverts with InvalidReceiver. This is documented and harmless.
  • totalBps semantics: the revert already carried the running total; only the NatSpec and docs changed to say so.
  • Version: the change is to code already versioned @custom:version 2.1.0, the same unreleased version, so no further bump is needed.
  • Docs: the requiresDeposit: false guidance and the fee-base caveat for SwapperV2 bridge flows match the implementation.

Test Coverage

The delta adds one unit test (zero recipient, zero share) in FeeForwarder.t.sol and 52 lines in GenericSwapFacetV3.t.sol. CI unit-test jobs pass.

Downstream Impact

  • Audit: audit-verification fails and AuditRequired is set. The audit is the last gate before merge and no entry exists yet. This is pending, not a defect.
  • Rollout: deploy, whitelist and Tron changes remain in a separate post-audit PR.
  • Backend: the FeesForwarded event is unchanged.

Acceptance Criteria

  • forwardERC20FeesBps computes fees as bps of the actual output — ✅ Met.
  • Over-allocation, native-token and zero-recipient inputs revert with specific errors — ✅ Met.
  • Documented in docs/FeeForwarder.md — ✅ Met.
  • Audit entry for v2.1.0 — ⏳ Pending.

🏷️ PR Naming — ✅ Pass

Refuted candidates

None.

Check the recipient before the share is computed, so a zero address
reverts with InvalidReceiver whether or not its share rounds to zero.
Document requiresDeposit, the fee base in bridge flows and the
InvalidTotalBps value, and test a pre-existing facet balance.

address(0) still reverts at the balanceOf call, without error data,
matching forwardERC20Fees which relies on the natural revert too.

🔍 QA Review — EXSC-1204 · PR #2554 (re-review c61ca09 → 1f6d9d9)

Verdict: ✅ Approve · Critical 0 · High 0 · Medium 0 · Low 0

Delta scope (4 commits, 4 files)

  • src/Periphery/FeeForwarder.sol: drops the explicit isNativeAsset check in forwardERC20FeesBps and trims the NatSpec. address(0) still reverts, because the high-level IERC20(0).balanceOf call hits an address with no code and reverts with empty data. No behaviour is lost. LibAsset.isNativeAsset is only address(0), so no other native sentinel is affected.
  • test/solidity/Periphery/FeeForwarder.t.sol: the expected revert is now bytes(""), which matches the code change.
  • docs/FeeForwarder.md: the SwapperV2 donation caveat and the bridge-flow revert are documented, and the stale NullAddrIsNotAnERC20Token references are removed.
  • buildAttestations.json: hash refresh only.

Notes

  • The audit-verification check is red. That is the expected audit-pending state because the contract source changed. The audit is the last gate before merge, so this is not a defect. The AuditRequired label is owned by CI.
  • CodeRabbit's docs finding was addressed in b4a34cf.
  • All prior findings were already approved in the previous review. Nothing is outstanding.
