Closes #283

Summary

Move Platform Kit marketing integrations fully onto shared services:

  • Decap /admin uses cms-oauth-kit at https://auth.singletonsd.com.
  • Contact uses PostKit POST /contact through PUBLIC_POSTKIT_API_BASE_URL.
  • Delete the entire local apps/marketing-oauth Function package.
  • Delete its deployment workflow, Bicep, PowerShell deploy script, and dedicated marketing-edge documentation.
  • Remove the retired package from CI, pre-push checks, release tests, Docker workspace metadata, and the pnpm lockfile.
  • Remove current references to the legacy Function hostname and PUBLIC_MARKETING_API_BASE_URL.

PostKit's merged configuration already allowlists plattform-kit.poc.singletonsd.com and defines its host-specific sender/inbox profile.

Deployment dependency

The PostKit API code is merged, but ssd-postkit-api-prod-ae is not currently provisioned. Its last deployment run built successfully and skipped the Function App job because PostKit repository OIDC variables were unset. Contact submissions will remain unavailable until PostKit is deployed.

The legacy Platform Kit Function is intentionally not retained as a fallback.

Preview scenarios

Preview scenarios: not-applicable — marketing connector and infrastructure removal; no Nest API, pillar, or Prisma behavior change.

  • Known SQLite vs SQL Server differences: none

Test plan

Automated

  1. pnpm format:check
  2. pnpm --filter @poc-plattform-kit/marketing run lint
  3. pnpm --filter @poc-plattform-kit/marketing run build
  4. pnpm --filter @poc-plattform-kit/marketing run test
  5. node --test scripts/release-changed.test.mjs scripts/worktree-paths.test.mjs
  6. node --test scripts/pr-handoff-gate.test.mjs

Expected: all pass.

Human verification

  1. Open https://plattform-kit.poc.singletonsd.com/admin and log in.
    • Expected: OAuth uses https://auth.singletonsd.com/auth.
  2. After PostKit is deployed, submit https://plattform-kit.poc.singletonsd.com/contact.
    • Expected: the browser posts to https://ssd-postkit-api-prod-ae.azurewebsites.net/contact and receives 202.
  3. Confirm Platform Kit no longer deploys ssd-pocpk-decap-oauth-dev-ae.
    • Expected: no apps/marketing-oauth, deploy-decap-oauth.yml, or infra/decap-oauth.bicep remains.

Feedback focus

  • Confirm Platform Kit owns neither OAuth nor marketing email delivery.
  • Confirm the PostKit deployment dependency is accepted before merge.

Marketing preview (SWA Free)

Static Web Apps created a PR preview environment for apps/marketing.

Production host: https://plattform-kit.poc.singletonsd.com.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Changes
    • Decap CMS authentication now uses the shared OAuth service.
    • Marketing contact submissions now use the shared PostKit service.
    • Removed the legacy marketing OAuth and contact service from the project.
    • Removed related deployment workflows, infrastructure, configuration, and CI checks.
    • Updated environment variable guidance and architecture documentation for the shared services.

Reviewer's Guide

Repoints the marketing Decap /admin GitHub OAuth flow to the shared cms-oauth-kit service while converting the Platform Kit Function App into a marketing-edge host serving only Contact and health, simplifying infra, CI, and scripts accordingly and updating CORS/ORIGINS handling and documentation.

File-Level Changes

Change Details Files
Route Decap /admin GitHub login to shared cms-oauth-kit instead of the Platform Kit Function App, leaving Contact on the existing marketing-edge Function.
  • Update Decap CMS config.yml to use https://auth.singletonsd.com as base_url with the GitHub backend pointed at singleton-sd/poc-plattform-kit.
  • Clarify in multiple docs (architecture overview, marketing Astro + Decap, marketing-edge, AGENTS/SETUP/infra docs) that Decap OAuth lives on cms-oauth-kit and that PUBLIC_MARKETING_API_BASE_URL should remain pointed at the PK marketing-edge Function, not auth.singletonsd.com.
  • Document that the legacy github-decap-oauth-client-secret KV secret and DECAP_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID variable are no longer needed for deploy, but should not yet be deleted.

Convert the apps/marketing-oauth Function App into a marketing-edge host that serves only Contact and health, removing all OAuth handlers and related tests.
  • Delete /auth and /callback function handlers and their GitHub OAuth implementation (auth.ts, callback.ts, github-oauth.ts).
  • Remove login-script and GitHub OAuth tests, and add origins.spec.ts covering hostname allowlist behavior.
  • Change the Function entrypoint to import only contact and health functions.
  • Update package test script to run only origins and contact specs.

Introduce a dedicated ORIGINS utility for marketing-edge CORS and trusted-contact host validation, decoupled from the old Decap opener list.
  • Add origins.ts with parseOrigins and isAllowedHostname that support exact hostnames, limited * globs, and marketing SWA instance prefixes while rejecting overly broad patterns like *.azurestaticapps.net.
  • Update contact.ts to use isAllowedHostname/parseOrigins from origins.ts and clarify that CORS is based on the marketing-edge ORIGINS list, not Decap opener origins.
  • Add tests (origins.spec.ts) validating parsing behavior, SWA preview host matching, and rejection of unsafe host patterns.
apps/marketing-oauth/src/origins.ts
apps/marketing-oauth/src/origins.spec.ts
apps/marketing-oauth/src/contact.ts
Simplify infra and deployment for the marketing-edge Function App now that it no longer provides GitHub OAuth.
  • Strip OAuth-related parameters and app settings (OAUTH_CLIENT_ID, OAUTH_CLIENT_SECRET, REDIRECT_URL, SCOPES) from infra/decap-oauth.bicep, keeping only Contact/health config, and repurpose descriptions around marketing-edge semantics.
  • Update the deploy workflow to focus on marketing-edge (Contact) deployment: remove dependency on DECAP_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID, stop asserting the GitHub OAuth KV secret, and require only OIDC variables and forwardemail-api-key.
  • Adjust the PowerShell deploy script to drop the -OauthClientId parameter and OAuth preconditions, describing the Function as marketing-edge only and updating the completion message to show /contact and /health URLs.
  • Refresh workflow and docs naming to call out “marketing-edge” instead of “Decap OAuth”, while noting that the filename/app name remains decap-oauth pending a follow-up rename.

Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~25 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to 6d363

The change routes Decap OAuth to the shared service and contact submissions to PostKit while removing the local fallback. Contact will remain unavailable until PostKit is provisioned, and custom-domain OAuth could fail if the origin matcher does not explicitly cover the marketing host; merge should wait for owner acceptance or provisioning and confirmation of that login path.

Hey - I've reviewed your changes and they look great!

Sourcery assessment

Needs a human reviewer. This changes the Decap authentication trust boundary from a repo-owned Function to the shared cms-oauth-kit service, so a routing, origin, or authorization mistake could prevent editor access or grant GitHub-backed access through the wrong provider. Reverting restores the old deployment, but it would not necessarily revoke OAuth tokens or undo any access granted while the shared service was configured incorrectly.

Decap OAuth is no longer served from this repo or from the old Function.

Connector (marketing /admin): apps/marketing/public/admin/config.yml → https://auth.singletonsd.com (cms-oauth-kit). That is the only Decap auth wiring left.

Removed from this PR / live host:

  • /auth and /callback source deleted
  • Live https://ssd-pocpk-decap-oauth-dev-ae.azurewebsites.net/auth and /callback now 404
  • OAUTH_* / REDIRECT_URL / SCOPES app settings removed

Still here on purpose: the brochure Contact form (POST /contact) is not OAuth and was never moved to cms-oauth-kit. It still runs on the same Azure Function App (legacy name ssd-pocpk-decap-oauth-dev-ae / apps/marketing-oauth). Deleting that Function App would take down Contact.

If you want that host deleted too, we need a follow-up to rehome Contact (or drop the form). Renaming the leftover Function/package away from decap-oauth is the same follow-up.

Cut marketing /admin over to https://auth.singletonsd.com and
remove /auth and /callback from the PK Function. Contact stays
on ssd-pocpk-decap-oauth-dev-ae.

- config.yml base_url is the shared cms-oauth-kit origin
- Drop OAuth handlers and app settings; keep Contact ORIGINS
- Stop requiring DECAP_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID for Function deploy
