I use scripts dealing with disks mounted via udisks. Unfortunately, I created them on Ubuntu systems initially, which meant that they assumed mounts in /media.
However, this breaks on Arch systems, where it is /run/media.
After some digging, it turns out this is due to Debian/Ubuntu systems using the --enable-fhs-media compile flag, which sets MOUNT_BASE to /media instead of /run/media.
In order to make more robust scripts, it would be useful to have a way to find out what the MOUNT_BASE is on a given system (aside from checking where something gets mounted after mounting it, or checking the distribution used).
Is there already a way within udisks to find out MOUNT_BASE without first mounting disks?
If not, could you please add one?
[And perhaps even a way to configure custom MOUNT_BASE locations via compile flags or configuration files?]
