Tried the introductory example at https://videojs.org/docs/framework/html/how-to/installation

The result is here. As you can see you can see nothing ;-) The HLS video is loaded though.

Is the example way too terse? What am I missing?

Thanks for the report. This matches the zero-height <video-skin> regression tracked in #2706 (and the similar report #2855): the 10.0.0-rc.2 packages can load the HLS stream while the skin collapses, leaving no visible player. The source fix is merged in #2707, but it has not yet been published in a release.

Until then, give the skin a sizing surface, for example:

Planning: do not add a separate roadmap item; track release completion through #2706/#2707 (GA, P1 root cause).

Ah, I had tried aspect-ratio on the video-player.

Just for feedback: Because I associate skin with the interface, controlbar etc. etc. trying aspect-ratio on the player itself made more sense to me as it must have a screen.
