Fails to install on VyOS #156

VyOS is a router operating system descended from Vyatta. It is currently based on Debian 12 (Bookworm), I was able to download and install zerotier-one_1.8.9_amd64.deb via curl and dpkg, and zerotier is working as it should. The /etc/os-release file says:

PRETTY_NAME="VyOS 2026.02 (circinus)"
NAME="VyOS"
VERSION_ID="2026.02"
VERSION="2026.02 (circinus)"
VERSION_CODENAME=circinus
ID=vyos
BUILD_ID="e4c4eddad9b984"
HOME_URL="https://vyos.io"
SUPPORT_URL="https://support.vyos.io"
BUG_REPORT_URL="https://vyos.dev"
DOCUMENTATION_URL="https://docs.vyos.io/en/latest"

FYI
Ubiquiti's EdgeOS is also descended from Vyatta and installing on EdgeOS from install.zerotier.com works without issue. The contents of /etc/os-release on EdgeOS v2.0.9-hotfix.7 say it is Debian: PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)".
